About Dave and His Family- Dave was born in Independence Missouri on January 2, 1949 and grew up in Independence until he left for college at Rolla, Mo. in 1967 to study chemical engineering. He earned a B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering in 1971 and 1973, with high honors .
- He married Susan Mabrey in Dec 1970 while gaining his degree which was a small miracle. He entered the U.S. Air Force as a Second Lieutenant in 1973 and was honorably discharged in 1975. Dave re-entered the active reserves in 1983 and retired as a Major, USAF in 1994.
- During his professional life Dave has worked for Rockwell International (Rocketdyne Division - Canoga Park, CA), Martin Marietta - Denver, CA, Cities Service/Occidental Petroleum - Tulsa, OK, and Florida Progress Corporation - St Petersburg, CA. He currently lives in Newbury Park with his wife, Susan, and children, Sean, Stacie, and Molly.
- During his mid-life crisis Dave earned another B.S. degree in computer science from California Lutheran University in 1993. He has traveled to Israel, England, Denmark, Venezuela, Trinidad, Curacao, Peurto Rico, Colombia, Canada as well as most of the 50 United States, with the exception of the Dakotas and Michigan.

- Dave really does have fun, in spite of the impression of being a workaholic. He is a student of the Holy Bible and studies the historical Jesus along with the faith that inspired him to come back from a serious illness in 1989. He regularly attends Newbury Park First Christian Church and is a Promise Keeper.
