Early German and England Protestant Churches (with dates of 'stranger-churches')
'Strangers' (Fr: étrangers; G: Welches) was the term often employed for economic migrants or religious refugees. The significant centres for the latter are broadly indicated by the existence of separate 'stranger' churches in the Rhineland and England.
